How To Make Haray Masalay Walay Chanay

Haray Masalay Walay Chanay Recipe in Urdu By Chef Zakir Dawat

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas boiled 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Tamarind paste ½ cup
  • Tomato 1
  • Onion 1
  • Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
  • Mint leaves ¼ bunch
  • Green chilies 3 – 4
  • Oil 2 – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed red pepper ½ tsp
  • Dry mango powder ½ tsp
  • Chaat masala ½ tsp

 Method

  1. • Grind together ¼ bunch of coriander leaves, ¼ bunch of mint leave and 3 – 4 green chilies.
  2. • In a pan heat 2 – 3 tbsp oil, add in 1 chopped onion, sauté for a few minutes.
  3. • Add 1 chopped tomato, prepared green paste, salt to taste, ½ tsp crushed red pepper, ½ tsp dry mango powder and ½ tsp chaat masala. Fry very well.
  4. • Then add ½ cup tamarind pulp and cook for a few minutes.
  5. • Lastly add 1 cup boiled chickpeas and fry for a few minutes. Then remove from fire and dish it out.
  6. • Sprinkle with 2 tsp lemon juice and serve hot.
